La Cortada House

The project was born from the structure of a 70’s house in a suburb in Santiago. The idea was to decentralized the floor plan of the old house to take the maximum advantage of the gardens. For this, the whole first floor was attached to the walls to the south and west of the property. The first floor it’s divided in to two areas, the dining and living room areas are connected via a bar to the kitchen . This whole area it’s to the backyard and a long swimming pool, that lights the interior through light reflections.
A staircase oriented to the east communicates the first and second floor, were three bedrooms and a studio are located.
